    No matter your race, your age, your gender, your socioeconomic status, your upbringing or outlook on life, we all want to be happy with the lives that we're living. And that dream life looks different for us all, as it should.

    no matter what this life you envision or or this person you dream yourself to be is, in order to change the things around you, you have to change yourself first. Now, in today's video, I want to share with you five key areas that you should focus on to improve yourself first in

    order to achieve the dream life that you desire. I remember my 30th birthday about 2 and 1/2 years ago.

    I was feeling stuck, uninspired, stagnant. It was like I loved my life.

    I I very grateful for the life that I was living. And I was blessed, but I was just I don't want to

    say bored, but I I just the life I envisioned I wasn't necessarily living. I knew I could do more.

    I knew I could be more. I just knew I could elevate to a certain level.

    And it was then that I realized I have to make some changes within myself in order to change

    And I mean, I think we're always evolving, working on ourselves and changing. But when you actively make the decision to improve, it's the foundation of success, foundation of confidence, of a beautiful

    And I think for a lot of us when we think of self-improvement, we think self-help books or podcasts and all of those things are great. They're very, very helpful.

    But when you really want to improve yourself, when you really want to change your life, it's all about taking real intentional action

    to become the best version of you. When you commit to self-improvement, it builds confidence.

    You attract better relationships. You improve the relationships that you have, the relationship that you have with yourself.

    productivity and all of those things create a life that is filled with purpose and joy. Now, the biggest shift for me happened when I realized that my future is in my hands.

    Sure, life is unpredictable and we live in a world where there are a lot of things that we don't have control over. But one of the

    things that you have control over are your habits. Your day-to-day is in your control and the habits that you build today will create the life that you live tomorrow.

    So the first area I want to talk to you about today and it's the most important in my opinion. This I would consider to be the domino effect

    But it is your mindset. Your thoughts shape your reality.

    If you believe you can achieve. And I know that kind of sounds corny but it's very very true.

    You have to start feeding yourself with empowering

    positive beliefs around you and your future. And that happens with growth mindset and a fixed mindset.

    So you have people who have growth mindsets and people who have fixed mindset. A fixed mindset focuses on fear, doubt, procrastination.

    oh, this is what I'm born into, so this is where I have to stay versus having a growth mindset. People with a growth mindset understand that skills, intelligence, routines, habits, all of those things can be learned.

    Going from, oh, I can't do this, to I'm learning and I'll get better at it. Say that there's a challenge ahead and you're like, you know what?

    So, you will never know. I think a lot of people are afraid of failing and they see failure as defeat or failure means you're insignificant or you're not meant to have this, but failure is just a lesson.

    Speak positivity into yourself. Daily affirmations, like those are really real.

    I wake up every single morning and I play positive affirmations so that I'm not worried

    They have intentional habits. That's why you see a lot of people who are successful have morning routines, have night routines.

    I want to be wealthy. So, I'm going to work on a routine.

    A lot of us fall into the trap of, "Oh, this person has been around x amount of time," or, "Oh, I love this person." or oh, I'm committed to this person. Don't let anybody drain

    And you cannot get the time back that's lost. Saying no is not you being selfish.

    Saying no is setting boundaries. And when you have boundaries, you have self-respect.

    But if I can't do it, if doing something will take away from me and my mission, I have to say no. Saying no does not mean I don't care

    And not saying that you can't be there for someone in their time of need or sadness, but if someone is

    Every time she called my phone, she was complaining about something. She was crying about something.

    And at first, I was there. I was listening because I

    But I started to notice that as she called, when after a while when her name would pop up on my phone, I would get this like feeling of anxiety like, "Oh my god, what is wrong with her now? Oh my god, do I need to go somewhere quiet

    to sit here and talk her off a ledge?" Everybody's problem is not your responsibility. And once you understand that separating yourself from negativity is not you dismissing someone else, it's just you respecting yourself, setting boundaries for yourself, and always

Having two quality friends who will be there for you if you break a foot and can't work and you need a couch to sleep on versus those 20 friends that you always have a good time with and you always show up looking good with who won't even give you 50 cents if you

    Number one, write down your goals. Get clear on what it is you want.
