I built 50 different micro sites last year and now we get to look at the results. Now let's go over three basic things in this video.

Then we're going to get more technical. So number one, what is a micro site?

Number two, how to do this yourself. And then was it worth it?

So we put all these resources in. 50

    00:16

websites is no joke, right? So was it worth it?

That's the number one thing I want to know. Now off the bat, let's go into an example here.

And remember this strategy some business owners can use to really propel their business. I'm confident that I could go to any state in the United States, pick out a

    00:33

vertical, and be successful. I could start a real company doing this.

You're going to see what I mean in a second. So, go to Google, type in roofers in Alabama.

So, what we have here is the vertical plus location. What we're going to do for the most part in this video is talk about local businesses.

    Now, check

    00:48

    it out. Roofers in Alabama.

    That's a state. Alabama's a state.

There's going to be a lot of people typing this in per month. If we scroll down, the map pack is very difficult to get in because it relies on Google reviews.

But if we scroll down a bit more, we're going to see this one right here. I'm going to zoom in right here.

    Do you see this

    01:04

roofing Alabama LLC? There is no doubt in my mind that this here is ranking on Google, right?

Top five because of the name of the website. It can be that simple.

Now, if we come over to Rake Expand, which is my agency, I want to

    01:20

show you the different verticals that we service. This is important because local businesses, what I'm going to show you in this video, is the most effective with this strategy.

E-commerce, it can crush it as well. And professional services, very, very strong.

So, what we do, let's just scroll down here. What's

    01:35

working right now? One lasertargeted micro site can outrank a competitor's entire domain.

So, one micro site, if you know exactly what you're doing, it can out compete your primary competitor's website. Now, I want to tell you what we did that actually

    01:50

    works. So vertical plus location.

Remember we came over here to this website roofingal Alabama llc.com. This is what matters.

So it depends on what niche or vertical you're going to go after. Roofers in Alabama.

Now if we come over to chat GBT I would if I was

    02:06

going after this term right this vertical which would be roofing in this area which would be Alabama. I would create roofersalababama.com but I'd also do roofers huntsville uh roofers Birmingham Montgomery mobile all these.

The point is, why have just one website

    02:22

for your business? So, you can have a business with a DBA, right?

We're doing business as XYZ. If I was a business owner nowadays and I wanted to have organic leads on Google, I would have 10 to 20 websites for my one business.

And just to be clear before we go on, this

    02:38

website I was going over is not my website. I've never seen this website before.

What I was showing you is this. So, if we come here, let's just copy this and push it over here.

Is the EMD. So EMD is exact match domain, right?

Exact match domains are very powerful for local business and this strategy. So

    02:55

they have roofing which is the vertical plus the location Alabama. So if we come back to the concept I was saying earlier, this is what I I would literally do this right here.

I would have roofers Huntsville. These would be all the URLs.

I'd have 10 different websites. But then the trick is what do

    03:10

these websites look like and how do you build them out? So to do this yourself, right, how to do this yourself is going to require some WordPress knowledge at the very least.

So WordPress is just a CMS. It's how you build a website.

We actually don't use WordPress often. We have a custom solution where we can spin

    03:27

up websites very very quickly uh in a manner that we like. So the structure of the website, right, the structure of the website matters a ton.

And that's because that's SEO. That's how Google perceives the website.

If it's structured correctly, then it can rank correctly in the locations that you want

    03:43

to rank. And then the outcome of all this, the outcome is that we have we have a vertical or a niche, right?

That represents I think it was four out of 10 positions. In other words, four of our websites when you type in a certain um vertical, when you type in this vertical

    03:59

that we created these websites for plus a location, a very high density location, four of our websites show up in the top 10 position of Google. In other words, all roads lead to Rome.

No matter what, someone's going to be calling my business so that we get the

    04:15

lead. Now, before we go on, this is interesting because a lot of people get upset at me in particular on this channel.

I have to delete so many comments because of what I'm going to tell you right here. But it's it holds true.

I want to play fair, right? But I want an unfair advantage.

    Those are two

    04:32

different things. So, I want to play fair.

I want to play by the rules, but I also want an unfair advantage. And for me that often comes with what?

It comes with scale and it comes with using AI. The unfair advantage that I often find my edge is that I don't think like everyone else and you should not think

    04:48

like everyone else either. So like I was saying and if we had a business, right, we could have a DBA and we could have a 100 DBAs under that business name.

So why not have a 100 websites for your business? It just makes sense.

It makes sense to me that if you have a business and you provide roofing or painting or

    05:04

plumbing or electrician in the area, why not have 10 different 20 30 different websites to help as many people as possible? Now coming to the question, was it worth it?

So we built out 50 websites last year. Was it worth it?

And the answer is definitely yes because the

    05:19

amount of work it takes compared to the amount of leads that we get and opportunities that we get is outstanding. It's outstanding.

Right? So was it worth it?

Yes. But but we learned we learned a lot.

Would we do it different? We definitely would do it different.

And here's a few things to to

    05:35

keep in mind. Now, if you're considering this, we're going to go a little bit deeper here.

Here's four things that really are the most important in my opinion. Now, if you're a business owner and you want to have this, if you're like, man, that sounds good for my business.

And and I recommend all local businesses have this. It just makes

    05:51

sense. You will get more leads.

At my agency, Rank Expand, we offer three micro sites. three micro sites for anyone who works with us.

So, it's it's just baked into the engagement. So, coming back here, vertical selection.

Let's say let's just say let's flip it

    06:06

on its head. Let's say you don't have a website.

You've never created a website or you you you know what you're doing, but you don't have a business. And let's say you want to make these websites to then sell leads to different businesses.

In other words, if I came over here, right, coming back to the roofers idea, roofers in Alabama, imagine if you had

    06:23

five websites that ranked really well in this query, you could probably easily sell those leads to different companies. You could call them up and say, "Hey, look, I get leads on a consistent basis for roofing in Huntsville, Alabama.

Are you interested?" That's a really good way for an SEO agency to start a

    06:39

conversation to to hopefully gain a client, right? And for you to make money selling leads, this is called rank and rent.

But the problem is vertical selection. So oftent times people are going to go after the big dog roofers, electricians, plumbers.

And that's a mistake because everyone is doing that,

    06:56

    right? Too much competition.

You need to find the niches that no one thinks about. And a good indication of a niche that might work is one that doesn't have a map pack.

Now, if you can make this happen, and there's ways to do it, I won't talk about on YouTube, you can make a lot of money. But if you type in

    07:11

your vertical plus location. So all you have to do is go to Google and say, "Ooh, I wonder if this one works." Right?

Let's just type in something different. Let's do pool installers in Alabama.

    And let's scroll down. Right?

We still have the map pack, but you'll notice the Google reviews are less. And

    07:28

all of a sudden, it looks like less competition than roofing. So if we were to do it again, we would be more mindful of our vertical selection.

Now this next part I'm going to combine two of the concepts because pricing and delivery these two are codependent. In other

    07:43

words, dependent upon how you deliver these leads will kind of dictate your pricing because it can be a big pain in the butt. But number two, let's talk about what do we charge.

So there's two kind of basic models. So if I have a website or websites like I do that produce leads every single week while I

    07:59

sleep more or less, right? I'm either going to try charge 5 to 10% of the job cost, right?

Cut a deal with the business. Hey, look, we could be business partners in some regard.

I will get you leads every single week. If you sell the job, then X amount comes to my

    08:14

agency. The other way is flat fee, right?

$75 all the way up to 250 no matter the quality of the lead. Some people want to qualify and quantify the leads before paying us and that's okay, too.

So, it's a really a conversation, but if your delivery of the leads is

    08:30

rough, right, if you have to manually email the person and and look at your websites, you know, contact form, if you don't have automations, you probably have to charge more because it's a pain in the butt to do that, right? So, what we have number four is automations or excuse me, optimizations, which are AI

    08:46

automations. In other words, when someone comes to one of our websites and they call the number, they call the number on the screen, somebody answers every single time.

Someone answers. I have 50 websites and there's somebody on standby to answer those calls 24/7.

    And

    09:03

that's possible because the somebody is an AI agent that sounds like a person and they have a flowing conversation. They qualify the lead.

It transcribes the lead and then we send that information to our client. Hey, call Mr.

    Bob. He's interested in XYZ.

And then there it's done. It's automated.

    Now, a

    09:19

lot of people have been asking, "How do I get that system, right? Let's say that you want to do this yourself.

You want to roll out websites quickly, affordably that rank, and then have optimizations, automations that can just send the leads over. It's like a money machine, right?

Maybe you're an agency, you know, owner. Maybe you have an agency and you have

    09:34

clients and you want to provide this service to them, right? It's a really good service.
