what's up Crafters Michael from Ro elements.com and today we're going to be talking about how to make custom DIY waterproof and dishwasher safe printed stickers and this is how they turned out so what you're going to need is a few

00:15

supplies you're going to need some matte printable vinyl some glossy uh laminating sheets a light grip Cricut matte it's blue a weeding tool scissors and also a Sharpie is a good idea uh we're going to use this HP Deskjet

00:32

3755 uh we're going to use our explore Air 2 by Cricut and so hopping into designing the stickers I always use canva and I import elements you can drag them around resize them do what you need

00:47

to do hit that share button up top and then go and click download make sure it's a PNG file PNG is the highest quality and hit download now this is how it's going to look look and you have your custom stickers okay next we're

01:04

going to set up our Cricut our explore a 2 we're going to open up our pack of Royal elements matte printable vinyl this is our brand and this is the paper we'll be using today the vinyl and then we're going to open it up and we are going to make sure we choose the correct

01:21

side the vinyl side and put it in the printer we're going to get onto uh Cricut design space we're going to uh print then cut cut we're going to make this file we are going to size it up hit continue and then let our printer do the

01:38

magic of printing out the print then cut design file now you can see this image is a little washed out but we're going to work with it and we're going to cut out the bottom one so you can see the um the cut lines up there I am smoothing it

01:54

out on the Cricut mat so I can put it in to our Cricut Machine I have it set to finy it's connected you could also just USB uh USB or Bluetooth connect and then I stick the cut file in and let the

02:10

Cricut do its magic it will read the cut lines but as you can see here I actually ran into an error and it said basically uh the machine couldn't read the cut lines because our black ink was washed out so that's why we're going to need a

02:28

uh black Sharp here so I fast forwarded it I highlighted the cut lines and that'll make it able to be red there we go we stuck it back in and the Cricut Machine could read the cut line so that it could find all of the stickers to be

02:43

cut out so we started with our Penguins then our bunnies and then finally our little I don't know what you call this a doge like a doge coin right one of the so we cut it out looks beautiful we then peel off the backing

03:00

um and we can stick that directly onto our surface which in this case is a coffee mug because we want this sticker to be dishwasher safe we have done this uh tested for about 6 years and they have lasted that long in the dishwasher

03:17

so adding a clear vinyl laminate our Royal elements clear vinyl laminate is super thick and it's made specifically for dishwasher safe use and it's UV resistant meaning you can leave it outside if you want to laminate a bumper sticker you can find this uh paper on

03:35

our shop Royal elements.com shop and um pick up some of those supplies but I'm just going to cut out a little bit of an extra um padding there because we don't want the ink to bleed and we don't want to cut directly over it and so we got

03:51

our beautiful Doge we're going to test is it waterproof it looks like it and then is it dishwasher safe we ran it through a cycle crisp and clear thanks for watching leave a like and I'll see you in the next video
